Island Seeker



This vessel is a true classic designed by William Garden. Willard is known for its quality military boats. She is strong, sturdy, and heavily built. and an excellent sea boat to go anywhere. A Willard 36 has gone to Hawaii on it’s own bottom. Plenty of living and storage space for extended cruising or liveaboard. Boat has spent much of its life in fresh water. She is a joy to operate and the engine can’t be heard from the flying bridge.

1963 Gray Marine Continental 4 cylinder, 60 hp, diesel. 7000 hours. Rebuilt at 5000 hours. Cruises at 6-7 K using aprox. 1 gallon of fuel per hour . Engine is equipped with oil and transmission coolers and closed circuit engine cooling.  23 X 23 5 blade bronze propeller. Line cutting spurs. Engine manual. VelvetDrive transmission

Deep cycle batteries.  Twin alternators. Automatic battery charger. 2 VHF radios. 2 depthsounders. Loran. Handheld GPS. 2 compasses . 2 station autopilot. Anchor windlass w/ foot control & bridge control. Twin trumpet horn. 

4-7; 4 permanent bunks, 2 up 2 down port & starboard nearly twin size with 4 large drawers under.  Dinette in main cabin makes into double. One can sleep on cockpit couch. Carpet

6 bronze opening ports. Large forward hatch. Side windows slide. Double mahogany doors from main cabin to aft deck. Central heat and air, 16000 BTU, water cooled disconnected.

Main salon:
4 large windows. Mini blinds.  Dinette with drawers under. lower steering station.  2 large drawers under settee. Drawers fore & aft of dinette.

Large pantry.  Double sink. H/C pressure water. Refrigerator with freezer. 3 burner propane stove w/oven. 20 lb propane bottles. 4 drawers, additional storage, dish storage, cup racks. Galleyware remains. Remote gas solenoid valve.

Bimini top.  Snapon UV screens on salon windows and windshield.

Aft deck:
Large, teak sole,  semicircular bench seat w/ cushions, double leaf mahogany table can seat 6. Steps and hatch to upper deck.  Lighting. Shower. Storage under deck and couch seat. Opening door on starboard for dock access. 

Safety equipment:
Boat hooks.  fenders. flare gun & flares. 4 extinguishers tested. life jackets. 2 throwable rings. boarding ladder.  Bell. Safety harness.

Ground tackle:
3 anchors,  plows, 2 Danforths, 1 Bruce, all chain rode, chain to line rode 7/8 nylon 250-300’ never used.

Wagner hydraulic steering at each helm. Emergency tiller.

Large bench seat, center steering, engine controls, cushions.

Head is forward, standup, commode, hanging locker, small shelves, H/c water at basin,  large medicine chest, linen storage, new wood sole 05, mirrors, seat cushion.

12v lights,  2 lights in engine room.

Boat is all glass with wood interior. Caprails are wood, railings stainless steel. Walk around decks both sides. Heavy deck cleats. Vinyl overheads. 2 ladders to upper deck. Vessel is capable of being sailed and sails are on board.  Lots of spares (filters, impellers, alternator, water pump, bilge pump. Boat is complete, livable, ready to go.
