2018 Willard Rendezvous

Announcement - New Location for 2018!

Friday harbor

A 2018 Willard Rendezvous is now being planned for May 11-13, 2018, in Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington.

Friday Harbor is a delightful spot for the rendezvous, with numerous facilities, and good land access (by walk-on or drive-on ferry from Anacortes or Sidney, BC). Early May is still the "shoulder" season, and moorage is plentiful (and reduced in price for the summer season.) Friday Harbor is also an easy run from ports in the Gulf Islands, so our hope is more of our Canadian friends will be able to make it.

More details will be posted here in the Fall, but make a mental note now that Friday Harbor will be the place to be next May!

If you have information about rendezvous, please email info@willardboats.org.

A suggestion was made to change the location to La Conner, instead of Anacortes. If you are planning on attending and have a preference, please contact me.

If we have enough boats for a small "show", we would attend if the weather is decent. Anacortes would be our choice.

A rendezvous in LaConner on Mother's Day weekend works well for us, because we will already be living on our boat in the North Basin, and preparing for a summer in Alaska. I cannot guarantee that there won't be engine and exhaust system parts scattered about, though.

We are fine with either location, but just need to know which one so we can reserve a hotel room! Also would like to have an idea how many boats are thinking of coming to know if it is worth while driving down from Victoria.

Rick, Thanks for all of your efforts. Cherryl and I will be missing this one.
